Elisa Rossi’s paintings and drawings depict dreamlike visions that contain the essence of otherworldly origins, emotional alchemy, divine feminine guardianship, and cosmic transformation. Her compositions fluctuate between figuration and abstraction, incorporating symbolic storytelling, subconscious mark-making, and characters ranging from cartoon-like animals to nonterrestrial beings. Her practice is partly informed by the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique and her psychological research into the writings of Carl Jung and James Hillman, and contains reverberations of Astro-expressionism, transcendentalism, and metaphysical art. These visceral psychological landscapes form the foundation of her peculiar visual language–at once playful, uncanny, and eerily reflective of the increasingly infinite imagistic possibilities of our world. Rooted in a deep sense of soul memory and expansive optimism, Rossi’s paintings communicate an unabashed embrace of the evolution of consciousness at a collective level.

Born and raised in Carpi, Italy, Elisa received formal classical piano training at a young age and later earned a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome, which led to pursuing a career in public affairs in Belgrade, Berlin and Brussels while she in parallel cultivated her visual art practice. The diversity of places she lived continues to inform her creative imagery, rich with cross-cultural symbolism, esoteric systems, and layered historical references.

She currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
